The Pilot Who Flies with Her Feet

 

Jessica Cox is a truly amazing person who shows the world that anything is possible. She was born without arms, but she never let that stop her from reaching for the stars. Instead of using prosthetic arms, Jessica learned to use her feet to do everything from brushing her teeth to driving a car.In 2008, Jessica made history by becoming the first licensed armless pilot in the world. She flies a special airplane called an 'ERCO Eracoupe'. Since this plane does not have foot pedals for the rudder, she can control the entire aircraft using only her feet on the control wheel. It is a beautiful sight to see her navigate the open skies with such skill and confidence.

Beyond flying, Jessica is a woman of many talents. She holds a black belt in Taekwondo and is a certified SCUBA diver. Today, she travels the world as a motivational speaker. Her life story teaches us a powerful lesson: our only real limits are the ones we place on ourselves. Jessica didn't just find a way to live; she found a way to soar.
